howies make easy, classic and cool fashion inspired for the active life. We like the fact they really, really think about what they do. They use mostly organic fabrics to design clothes that last. They even patent new materials for the tough world around us.

Also, they only work with verified factories and give a decent percentage of their profits to environmental causes. 

Peopletree make really stylish clothes and we love them once again for choosing mostly organic fabrics. All of their clothes are manufactured by small fairtrade teams working independently around the world. They demonstrate that it’s possible to be chic and just a little ethnic. They boat their products here to the UK keeping an eye on their carbon footprint.

Freitag has become an icon in recycled designer bags since their first attempt (now in a Design Museum) in 1993. We love that their basic material is bright, colourful and well travelled lorry tarpaulin, finished off with car seat belts, bicycle inner tubes and loads of imagination. All of which goes to create the perfect, unique and tough bags, wallets and even keyrings .

The original and, for us, DEFINITELY the best.

Organic Surge make a complete range of Toiletries. We think it’s great that they can deliver really impressive results from naturally derived ingredients as well as contributing actively to child poverty from their profits. The range of organic smells looks right at home either on the edge of the bath, or in the most stylish of bathrooms.

Don't be upset by the packaging: it's only corn starch!

Vidreco bring you a superb range of glassware, from small glasses to large vases. We salute them for using cullet (industry waste glass and bottles) that combined with their keen eye for design, bring you a really tough glass-alternative, all the time saving energy in the process.

They work with groups of artisans in rural Vietnam to make truly gorgeous products from totally sustainable and pesticide-free, organic bamboo. They then share-out the profits, honestly and fairly and all the time maintain the highest quality in the pieces across a vast range. 

The large trays are really amazing.

Remarkable Stationery make tons of pens, pencils, books and binders for all your needs. We like the fact that they have now become recognised and praised for what they do . Their products tend to start life as crisp packets, CD boxes or old car parts. Any wood used is FSC.
